Joel Ferrando is a forward-thinking jazz musician and composer.

He studied in Munich, Dresden and Bern with various prestigious professors such as Till Brönner, Malte Burba, Sebastian Studnitzky and Ralph Alessi.
With his band ANIMA, he released his debut album in 2023 on the label XJAZZ! Music. With ANIMA he won the first prize of the Hans & Eugenia Jütting Stiftung in 2022.
In 2022/23 he was artistic director of the jazz department at Dresden Music School.
